Drea Hoffman was born in Stockton, CA, and raised in both Pasadena, CA, and Olympia, WA, with a short one year stay in Birmingham, England, when she was very young during her father’s medical residency.

Drea has always marched to the beat of her own drum and thrives on thinking outside of the box. A true visionary with an insatiable drive, vigorous ambition, passion, a wide range of talents and craft leaves her mind with no pause to envision and create unique, distinctive, thought provoking ideas and concepts in all of her original works.

INT./EXT.  THE JOURNEY – THE ROAD LESS TRAVELED

The words “not possible” do not exist in Drea’s vocabulary. Anything is possible and whatever is taken on is accomplished and comes to fruition. A firm believer in pursuing what you enjoy, Drea strives to make the best out of every situation and makes sure that everyone around her grasps opportunities.

INT./EXT.  USC SCHOOL OF CINEMATIC ARTS – REALITY ENDS HERE

As a graduate of the USC School of Cinematic Arts, with a minor in Photography and Fine Art, Drea learned skill sets in all aspects of film and television production as well as in the arts which lends an extra edge to enhance work in both media and film.

INT./EXT.  ACTING – ALL THE WORLD’S A STAGE

When Drea set out to write her first screenplay, she took an acting class in order to gain more insight into what an actor experiences and how to better write dialogue. Drea got bit by the acting bug and her strong passion for acting lead her to move in that direction but also keep her production career on track.

Drea has extensive acting training and experience for film, television and theater in New York and Los Angeles including studies at The New Actors Workshop-NY, The Acting Corps-LA, UCLA, Graham Beckel Studios-LA and Robyn C. Lee Studios-LA.

Drea’s most notable film roles include a leading actor in her own independent feature film Treasures (2016) produced by Liberty Entertainment Group, lead actor in the independent feature film Ocatilla Flat (2007) produced by 152 West Productions, lead actor in the independent short My Son, Our Son (2015) produced by Pablo Lewin Productions and lead actor in her own independent short Contemporary Stone Age (2016) produced by Liberty Entertainment Group. Her most notable theater performance was as lead actor in Floating Rhoda and the Glue Man written by Eve Ensler that premiered in Los Angeles at the renowned Stella Adler Theater (2001). Drea has performed many other supporting roles in film, television and theater.
