Liberty Entertainment Group offers photo restoration and retouching services. Take away the unwanted scratches and marks and bring your old photographs back to life. Our photo restoration/photo rescue service is our most extensive level of digital repair. Our advanced techniques allow us to return nearly any photo to their former glory, even those damaged by fire, light, water, mold, pets, or children. We will scan any kind of photo, slide or negative to an adjusted digital format (JPEG, PGN, PDF or TIFF) and store them on a media card and/or a cloud backup. After the restoration when they are loaded back on your computer, you can enhance, organize and share them all! Another option is to simply copy the restored images to a data DVD.

We use only high-quality, commercial-grade imaging scanners and state-of-the-art photo restoration programs for discolored, faded, poorly printed, torn, crooked or damaged old photographs. Or, all of the above!

Our technicians carefully assess the photograph for color shifts, loss of saturation, “muddiness” in the blacks and whites, dust and scratches and tilting. Sometimes there is a good image that needs cropping to bring attention to the main subject. We can even improve your photographs that are not damaged, but were never that good to begin with. Such as photos that were taken too dark, too light, far away, grainy or slightly out of focus, usually we can double the current quality to make them look better.

In addition we are able to add color to black & white photos, remove unwanted family members or to add people who didn’t show up and copy old photographs for clients who do not need any repairs. The new prints we make for you will be on archival quality papers guaranteed not to fade, discolor, or mold.

~PHOTO RESTORATION~

Aged and Desaturated Images:

One common problem that we can fix is desaturation (loss of vibrant color) due to Sun exposure and heat. We also restore photo scuffs, dust and scratches, and all manner of image ailments as seen below.

Fading and Color Casts:

One of the most common photo restoration problems we see with older color photos is fading or a color shift caused by the differential fading of just one of the print colors (cyan, magenta or yellow). Depending on the extent of change, we can restore color the close to the original, often better than the original.

Adding & Removing a Subject or Unsatisfactory Content from Photos:

Liberty Entertainment Group uses the latest digital technology to remove people or things, switch heads, change backgrounds. A divorce? Perhaps an ex-boyfriend or girlfriend? We get a lot of requests to take people out of photos. It is complex – but absolutely achievable. And, we can add people into a photograph for any reason! If there are any unacceptable background images or any distracting or unsatisfactory foreground composition, we can erase or replace as needed.

Color Adjustment:

Correcting a red over-saturated photo using color correction programs can be either very easy, or very hard. For example, if you have a photo that is completely red rather than just a little bit over the top, then I think you would basically have to desaturate the photo and recolor it from scratch. Our digital colorist’s job is no longer to simply balance, fix, and optimize. Sometimes our clients want to recreate the idiosyncrasies of older recording methods, or are looking for something completely new, to differentiate the look of a given project.

Photo Colorization:

Old black and white and color photos can be colorized. Did you ever wonder what your cherished Black & White photos would look like in color? Stop wondering and let us show you! Colorizing photos will bring new light to your precious memories. Anything is possible… If you do not know what the colors are, we will use our best judgment based on the time period & the shades in the photo. Our Quality is Unmatched!

Such as photos that are took dark, too light, far away, grainy or a little out of focus. Although we cannot make them perfect, we can usually double the current quality to make them look better. We can also just copy photographs that don’t need restoration. The new prints we make for you will be on archival quality papers guaranteed not to fade, discolor, or mold for 100 years. Here are some examples of torn, very old, extremely worn and faded photos. The restoration process begins with a high res scan, and then the scan is cropped and resized. Several different photo programs were used; one programs adjust the contrast, tones and exposure. The other photo program is used to “erase” photo artifacts and scratches. And yet another photo program is used to restore the background. The following images show the many phases of the entire restoration process.
