A true visionary with an insatiable drive, vigorous ambition, passion, a wide range of talents and craft leaves her mind with no pause to envision and create unique, distinctive, thought provoking ideas and concepts in all of her original works.

INT./EXT. THE JOURNEY – THE ROAD LESS TRAVELED

The words “not possible” do not exist in Drea’s vocabulary. Anything is possible and whatever is taken on is accomplished and comes to fruition. A firm believer in pursuing what you enjoy, Drea strives to make the best out of every situation and makes sure that everyone around her grasps opportunities.

INT./EXT. USC SCHOOL OF CINEMATIC ARTS – REALITY ENDS HERE

As a graduate of the USC School of Cinematic Arts, with a minor in Photography and Fine Art, Drea learned skill sets in all aspects of film and television production as well as in the arts which lends an extra edge to enhance work in both media and film.

INT./EXT. ACTING – ALL THE WORLD’S A STAGE

When Drea set out to write her first screenplay, she took an acting class in order to gain more insight into what an actor experiences and how to better write dialogue. Drea got bit by the acting bug and her strong passion for acting lead her to move in that direction but also keep her production career on track.

Drea has extensive acting training and experience for film, television and theater in New York and Los Angeles including studies at The New Actors Workshop-NY, The Acting Corps-LA, UCLA, Graham Beckel Studios-LA and Robyn C. Lee Studios-LA.

Drea’s most notable film roles include a leading actor in her own independent feature film Treasures (2016) produced by Liberty Entertainment Group, lead actor in the independent feature film Ocatilla Flat (2007) produced by 152 West Productions, lead actor in the independent short My Son, Our Son (2015) produced by Pablo Lewin Productions and lead actor in her own independent short Contemporary Stone Age (2016) produced by Liberty Entertainment Group. Her most notable theater performance was as lead actor in Floating Rhoda and the Glue Man written by Eve Ensler that premiered in Los Angeles at the renowned Stella Adler Theater (2001). Drea has performed many other supporting roles in film, television and theater.

INT./EXT. PRODUCTION – THAT’S A WRAP!

Drea’s career spans an extensive body of work in all aspects of film production, acting, editing, writing and photography.

Her first professional job in film originated with an internship for Robert Redford’s Sundance Institute during her senior year of college that lead to a position on the crew for several of their Feature Film Program Labs and subsequently as an assistant to Michelle Satter, the director of the Feature Film Program. She later returned to Sundance in 1997 as an assistant editor for the Filmmakers Lab.

Although Drea considers her time at Sundance to be the inception of her professional career in film, she believes her first 8-millimeter film, Search by Sea, she made in an honors course for film production in high school at the age of 16 to be the seed of her career. Her student film won the school’s equivalent of an Academy Award for best picture.

Drea’s most elaborate and recent accomplishment is a comedy independent feature film, Treasures, currently in post-production that she produced, directed, wrote, edited and acted a prominent role in. Treasures is unique in that it is partially scripted with heavy emphasis on improvisation and had up to five cameras rolling simultaneously so as to capture the spontaneity of the performances. A significant amount of behind the scenes footage was also shot and is a whole separate movie in itself. Drea essentially created a playground for actors and filmmakers to have freedom to share and explore their own unique voice.

INT. EDITING & TECHNICAL SUPPORT – MORE COFFEE PLEASE

For over 25 years, Drea has been a professional editor of feature films, television, trailers, promos, music videos, branding, special presentations, marketing campaigns, multi-media, CD-ROM, demos, live conventions and weddings. She also has experience in technical support as a computer support technician. Drea has edited for the Sundance Institute, Warner Brothers, ABC, NBC, Disney, The CW, Fearnet, KTLA and Telepictures to name a few.

Drea has edited promos for over 100 television shows some most notable ones being: Greys Anatomy, Desperate Housewives, Alias, Lost, Ugly Betty, Ellen, NYPD Blue, Ally McBeal, The Bachelor, The Bachelorette, Extreme Home Make-over, Jimmy Kimmel, Conan O’Brien, 20/20, The Academy Awards, America’s Funniest Home Videos, Buffy the Vampire Slayer, The Jamie Foxx Show, General Hospital as well a large collection of kid’s shows from Warner Brothers network Kids WB station and The Disney Channel including Animaniacs, Batman, Looney Toons, Men in Black, Pinky and the Brain, Pokémon, Supergirl, Superman, to name a few of many more.

Drea’s work as an editor for Kids WB landed her awards for best editing on a Batman & Superman promo piece. In addition to editing for television, Drea has also edited a number of independent feature films, short films, music videos and Multi-Media (the most notable multi-media platform being for Ford Motor Company).

INT. SCREENWRITING & SCRIPT ANAYLISIS – FADE IN

Inspired and influenced by the true story of her Great Great Grandmother, Abigail Scott Duniway, Drea wrote her first feature length screenplay, Yours for Liberty, based on Abigail’s life story as a suffragette in the 1800s who dedicated her entire life to help women attain the right to vote. Abigail traveled cross-country by Stagecoach with the likes of Susan B. Anthony campaigning for the cause. The title of the screenplay was inspired by Abigail’s actual signature taken from an original letter written by her and used as her slogan during her campaign for equal rights for women. Drea’s screenplay was a semi-finalist in the Chesterfield screenwriter’s fellowship program.

A script analysis position for the Sundance Institutes Feature Film Program was Drea’s first introduction to script analysis. She was instrumental in the breakdown and selection process of screenplays submitted for the filmmakers’ lab each year. Other freelance script analysis jobs were also fulfilled for various film companies and writers.

INT./EXT. PHOTOGRAPHY & VIDEOGRAPHY– SAY CHEESE

A long life interest in photography inspired Drea’s work as a photographer that spans portraits, weddings, events, candid and still life as well as an extensive list of motion camera operator jobs for weddings and live events. One of her first jobs after college was as a camera operator and editor for Brooke Productions, an all woman production team that specializes in weddings.

CUT TO:

ENTREPRENEUR – WHERE VISION MEETS REALITY

Taking it upon herself to pursue her career as an actress, filmmaker and entrepreneur, Drea believes that producing your own product is the surest way to get your career on track while keeping your own vision and control over content. Drea has developed and worked on projects both nationally within the United States and internationally including in Korea, Peru, and India.

Inspired and influenced by her Great Great Grandmother, Abigail Scott Duniway, a suffragette in the 1800s, as well as her fascination and love of family history and filmmaking, Drea founded Liberty Entertainment in 1996, later to become Liberty Entertainment Group in 2014. Her company is an independent boutique production company specializing in family ancestry films, photo restoration, and all aspects of film production. The logo for Liberty Entertainment Group was inspired by Abigail’s actual signature, Yours for Liberty, the slogan she used in her original letters during her campaign for equal rights for women. Determined to tell Abigail’s story one day, Yours for Liberty is an independent feature film currently in development for Liberty Entertainment Group.

INT./EXT. BUCKET LIST – ONGOING

Although Acting and filmmaking are the foremost passions, Drea also enjoys travel, movies, writing, theater, photography, art, family history, reading, camping, hiking, wine tasting, spending time with family and friends, women’s issues, mental health awareness, environmental awareness, animal rights awareness, charity work and mostly to laugh and enjoy life.

FADE TO BLACK

(click here for PDF’S of complete resumes)

FADE IN: INT. NAVY BASE- STOCKTON, CA 5:55 PM NAVAL BASE DOCTOR Congratulations, it’s a girl!!
